Impractical Flashlight

What an odd title. It's because my dad just arrived minutes ago from the farm. Yes, we have a farm and it's not the typical farmville you could imagine. Anyway, It's late right now and I'm going to blog about my dad. haha! not much of the usual cases.

I had the title above, also because my dad have some odd habits with a flashlight.

1.) He points the light at you when your asleep in the dark, to check if you're there.that's really disturbing! because I can't go back to sleep after.

2.) When the lights inside the house are still on by night, wherever he goes; he brings his flashlight and points the light to his destination. What a waste of energy...

3.) It's in the top 5 list he needs in his travel bag. This means he prioritizes a flashlight same as an underwear.

4.) He boasts his flashlights!, like this one time... it had 8 bulbs in it. I really don't get the point, it's just a flashlight!

After writing all odd things my dad does with this flashlight, I manage to imagine him when he was a kid. Maybe he was so excited to have one during the time it was just newly invented or something... (he's not that old) or is my dad really childish? my mom has been complaining with that issue at most times, like when my dad has a messy plate after meals. he could still drop some crumbs on the floor at the age of 50.

My dad is no retard or something, I guess it's just his nature in life. He could not be as smart as Deanno's Dad, who would talk about many factual things and information. He could not be as money disciplined like King's Dad, who invests money wisely. He could not be as professional as Jonathan's Dad, whom you could see with high expectations and standards. One thing is for sure, he loves us all so much.

The title really fits my dad's persona very well. It's like when we were children and we get so fascinated by the flashlight's beam and once we follow it, it leads us to different places. It's related that my dad will really take you to different situations, somehow you would say It's pointless or the most things he would bring up has no sense at all, but who am I to judge the credibility of my father? I even don't know how to be a father.

Even though my father acts immaturely, It gives me a valuable lesson in life. It doesn't matter how impractical my dad may become or how many mistakes he creates, one thing he shows me is the effects and consequences of what failure does. So now, I conclude... he is one superb dad for me, because he unconsciously made mistakes for me to learn what is wrong and not to follow.

I'm thankful for his mistakes.
